Kalendra.com Multimedia Calendar, Digital Photo Theme Pack)” align=”left” style=”margin-right: 15px;” /> Lorenzo Sperlonga is an Italian artist from Rome who began his career at the age of 16 as an illustrator and graphic designer for advertising agencies and small publishers. In those first few years, he soon realized that painting was his true calling, and he began to focus his artistic interests entirely towards sci-fi, fantasy and erotica. The year 1995 marked the beginning of his career as a pin-up artist: he painted his first cover for SKORPIO - the biggest comics magazine in Italy: since then, many of his magazine covers still appear every year on Italian newsstands and have been featured in the Italian editions of Playboy and Penthouse. As his distinctive painting style and covers started to gain popularity in Australia, South America and Eastern Europe, Lorenzo made the decision in 1998 to move to Los Angeles, where his career has flourished since, with many achievements and the publishing of a couple of books - “The Art of Lorenzo Sperlonga” in July 2002, and “Dirty Works” in 2006.
